Ben Gabirol (1021-1058) was a famous Jewish philosopher and prolific poet who was born in Malaga. His statue is situated opposite the Roman amphitheater.

One can hardly see the statue of Ben Gabirol next to the El Pimpi Restaurant patio. The scupture is really hidden and I think that a higher pedestal would do the statue more justice and give it more visibility.

When one goes to the terrace of the Restaurante El Pimpi, one sees this bronze statue dedicated to a Jewish thinker of the past. The sculpture is very good, but I think that the pedestal should be higher to give the good sculpture more visibility....More
