Found this bar from the local Pocket Rocket guide and decided to stop by. So glad we did. The owners made us feel so welcome the first time that we've come back a few more times. Jules & Von run a lovely place and makes everyone feel welcome from family, couples, friends, gay & straight and dogs! It's such a lovely atmosphere that we've just got talking to complete strangers and all the tables ended up joining together in one big party! The bar has a lovely sunny terrace during the day and transforms at night with cosy candles and subtle lighting. The music is great and just at a level that means you can hear it and sing along but it's not so loud that you can't hold a conversation. They sell top shelf spirits and drinks at super reasonable prices and don't scrimp on the measures (the free pour bar is not for lightweights!). The walls of the bar are covered in artwork originals painted by Jules and we have taken a fab Marilyn Monroe original which will be a momento of our holiday. The bar serves free snacks but doesn't do food. However this isn't a problem, the Italian a few doors down is happy to bring any food to your table at the bar!! It's random but genius. A genuine little oasis and worth a deviation from the "tourist" traps that will charge you a fortune and give you such a impersonal touch. At Pearls Barr you walk out feeling like you've just made friends for life! Thanks girls :)
