This is a glorious piece of Marbella and what the place is all about. Walking from central out towards Banus is a delight, small shops selling everything you'd need for the beach (glasses, towels, shorts, etc) and just about every type of restaurant, for brunches,...More

There is not much to say - it's a promenade and it's great. You can walk, run, cycle from Marbella to Banus (about 6km) in safety on a virtually flat, wide, clean path. Plenty of bars and even water points along the way. Great in...More

We stayed for two nights in the old town, and my favorite part of our time in the area was just long walks along this beach path. We walked from old town to puerto banus one evening (and cabbed back) it was nice. Great views,...More

We took our time to walk along the Paseo Maritimo. We watched the people walking and checked out the restaurants for dinner ideas.

Lovely to walk along the Paseo Maritimo. Nice sandy beach and palm trees - what's not to love! Great walkway suitable for all but watch out for bicycles and skaters.

Beautiful views, lovely palm tree lined walk with plenty of lovely places to stop and eat and drink. Really nice beaches to sunbathe too. Shame about all the annoying men trying to sell knock off bags to you every 2 minutes though.

I was expecting a chic destination a bit like a Spanish Monte Carlo. I was pretty disappointed. Marbella's a chilled, quite town but nothing special. Frankly, Malaga's more upmarket and a better destination for a holiday.
