It is in the vicinity of Al Hambra, whilst this is not an amazing experience on it's own I would definitely recommend going here when in the area of the Al Hambra as the area is a full day activity.

We decided to visit here since we couldn't get tickets for the Alhambra as we had not gotten them in advance and they were sold out for the day. Tough this location was quite amazing and more than made up for not being able to...More

This is accessible as part of your admission to The Alhambra. If you are in a hurry, running out of time after seeing the huge complex that makes up The Alhambra, then make this a lower priority. Apart from the spectacular views & unless you...More

All part of the Alhambra experience. A must see. This is the original fortress and worthwhile visiting. Went up to the ramparts and tower, great views of Granada and the valley below

You need an Alhambra ticket to access the Alcazaba, the oldest part of the complex used for military purposes. There really isn't much too see but the best views of Granada and of the Alhambra complex come from atop the Torre de la Vela.

Worth the visit, lovely castle walls, great views. Included in your ticket price, so worth walking around the grounds.

This oldest part of Alhambra complex provides great views of Granada. Apart from this, there is nothing much is the oldest fort in the complex. But I believe one would be there as it is a part of the Alhambra complex.

I felt a little less mesmerized about the Alcazaba than the rest of the Alhambra. It's the oldest place of all but you could also say this is only some towers you can get on. The view is great but the building itself is nothing...More

Excellent view of the town. Must visit for all those who are visiting Granada. Picture perfect! The stairs are few but tall, carry water and wear comfortable footwear.

A well maintained complex with amazing views of the city from the belltower and of the Alhambra and Sierra Nevada mountains from the other side.
