If you visit Granada and do not visit The Alhambra! you are crazy!! A beautiful place. The mix of Spanish and Arabic cultures combined in the courtyards and places. You will need at least 5-6 hours to see it and be prepared to walk! Respect the times you have on the tickets. This is well organised and ensures crowds are... More

Without question the tourism highlight of Granada, but be sure to book tickets ahead of time. You can see some of the complex for free, but there is no question that the parts that require a ticket are worth the price of admission. When purchasing you ticket you have to select specific visiting hours, which can be a little confusing,... More

I've been wanted to visit The Alhambra for many years, unfortunately is going under maintenance work and some areas are covered with boards and screens however you can admire the beauty pf the Palace, I have an excuse and comeback and visit it again! Book your visit early in the day, it gets very busy.

The Alhambra was an absolute highlight of our trip. Simply a spectacular place full of beauty. We spent almost an entire day there between our morning and night visits. Definitely opt for the night tour of the Nasrid. While a bit shorter than the daytime tour, it's magical at night and there's fewer people, especially if you hang back towards... More

This is a must see attraction for anyone visiting the south of Spain. In fact it's worth planning a trip to the area with this as the centerpiece. The palace with its intricate Muslim artworks, inscriptions and architecture are beautiful. The mixture of Andalusian and Islamic culture with the latter exemplifying detailed, beautiful sculptures and artwork are a delight to... More

The Alhambra is one of those gotta-see-it attractions, and worth the five-hour bus trip from Madrid. It's not as grand or as well-maintained as Moslem palaces in northern India, but the view from its top-of-the-hill location is spectacular. We booked our 3-hour tour in advance and it turned out to be 4 hours. Check the weather; we were glad we... More

I'd recommend a visit but try avoiding the end of November if it's rainy. We did a tour which we organised through our hotel - the commentary was good (and necessary) but the group was large and rain and cold made it a little uncomfortable. That said, you are still aware of how beautiful the city is and can enjoy... More

Reserve a day to visit the Alhambra in Granada! It's doable in one day from Seville (a 2 1/2 hour drive each way, freeway all the way). To visit on your own is almost impossible as you must book at least a month in advance. This whole thing about entry tickets looks like a scam to us, meant to push... More

Do go on the guided tour or you may wonder around aimlessly missing all the important stuff as I did a few years ago. Make sure you allow several hours and if visiting during winter, arrange ahead if you can for the afternoon tour at 8.30 a.m. is very cold in Granada. Tours do get booked up so arrange ahead.
