Beautiful palace with breathtaking architecture, steeped in history. Go early to buy the tickets and spend the whole day there. Worth getting the headphones to translate the history.

Antonio Villalobos was an excellent guide - we had booked with Tripadvisor - the local company for the tour was Granavision - right across the parking lot for Alhambra. The visit to Alahambra was definitely more inteteresting because of the background presented by Antonio

We did the day tour from Seville. I must say, we did Not Feel Hurried at all. We even had ample time for 2 breaks and lunch. Juan, our tour guide in Alhambra, spoke very good English, was very informative, and led our English-speaking group at a reasonably relaxed pace. Petra was as enthusiastic as one could possibly be in the bus and during the tour around the Albaicin neighborhood. All in all, a very good day indeed!

I agree with the review below .... be warned - this tour does NOT include Nasrid Palaces which is meant to be the gem of all the Alhambra. We enjoyed our tour and the guide was very good and went at a good pace for all. She was very knowledgeable but we didn't go inside the main palace and by the time you get there and realise this all the tickets for the day are sold out.
Our advice if you haven't been beforfe would be to book a different tour that includes the Nasrid Palaces

The Alhambra is amazing; a true wonder of the world. Our tour guide, Antonio Maldonado, was not only a wealth of knowledge, he was also very attentive to how everyone was faring during the rather hot and humid day of our tour. I could not recommend The Alhambra, and tour guide Antonio Maldonado more, my wife and I truly had a once in a lifetime day.

Overall an amazing day. Beautiful gardens, palaces and ruined fort. Information on the website does not really explain which entrance and how to get there (up a steep hill) . Found out bus 30 and 32 go there for 1.40 Euros from city centre and are very frequent. Lots of steps and a vast area so not good for the infirm or disabled. Drinks, snacks and ice cream can be bought there which wasn’t clear in the website. If not doing a guided walk (we didn’t) - then purchase the listening guide when buying the tickets.

I have wanted to visit for around thirty years and wasn’t disappointed. Despite the crowds everywhere seems so peaceful and the rose gardens are stunning and the heady scent follows you around. The security seems over the top, ie providing passport or other ID on at least two occasions - more checks than an airport!

Visited in May and had a bit of rain. Were impressed by the fort itself, but didn't expect for it to be surrounded by beautiful gardens. Would recommend to all visitors to Granada.

I don't understand how a place that sees 3 Mio tourists/year from all over the world is so poorly organised. You buy a ticket to visit the palace at a certain time, and they tell you to arrive well early, but you still need to queue to actually make use of your ticket. In the queue today at 15.30 they were ppl with tickets for 15.00, 15.30, 16.00 but there was no one informing the people queuing to come to the front of the queue if it was their time or already past their entering time. No signage to remind ppl to have their passports ready so some ppl after queuing for 40 min got sent back to fetch their passports. The woman in charge of the entrance doesn't speak English which is really quite incredible for a site like this. No information tables about the history in the palace only an Audio guide which you need to fetch from the ticket office beforehand ( another queue). Even the ticket confirmation and instruction emails are in Spanish only. For a top price of € 22/person I would love to have more explanation about the history of the place and also more guidance on the ground about where to go and in which order ( as in grab your audio guide before queuing for the entry) And lastly to not be treated like a nuisance or a potential terrorist by the staff. The place is great, but I am not sure I would ever want to go through the hassle of it all again. Granada has a lot to offer apart from that.

Fantastic Tour Guide and unbelievable Structure. The history and the beauty of this place has to be seen but it was so crowded with Cruise ships and school trips but our guide did her best to keep us from them most of the time. Maybe go before May as it was extremely hot.
