The gardens are stunning even in winter. Around every corner is another delightful surprise. You can lose yourself for many hours here.

We visited this area as part of our walk around Alhambra. Beautifully laid out gardens and plenty of places to sit and relax and enjoy the views. There is a fee to get in either separately or as part of the Alhambra experience.

We went in winter... it was cold, wet and raining. Still good to see and look around but a sunny summer visit may be different.

Definitely less impressive than the other Palaces in the Alhambra but as part of the over all experience make sure you don't miss it.

A part of Alhambra is across the gorge and is now called Generalife. Much the same detail and craftsmanship, beautiful gardens and very interesting to see. Loved the water stairway!

Generalife is the highest place of Alhambra. The water supply is the best as they use the water directly from the mountain. It was the place to supply the food for Alhambra (in the past). Pommegranates, oranges, lemons, persimon, herbs, flower , etc are cultivated...More

Further: The citrus trees may have fruit but the likelihood of flowers would be low HOWEVER you can certainly expect to be able to enjoy the Alhambra and Generalife with less crowds so you will be able to see the buildings... More

Hi , you need to take a taxi to the entrance gates, it is very hilly to get up there. Inside there is a lot of walking ,we took one of the guided tours and were walking for nearly 3 hours so be prepared .
