A center of interpretation dedicated to explaining the history of the Jewish quarter of Seville, its history and cultural achievements. Enjoy ours walking tours "Begins with a visit to the exhibition of the Center of approximately 40 minute in which the goal is to come to a historic understanding of the plight of the Jews in Seville (massacre of 1391, inquisition, expulsion, etc.) Through primary source documents from the inquisition, two statutes of the "blood cleansing," a painting by Joaquin Turina and Areal about the expulsion of the Jews of Seville, a masterpiece and gem of the exhibition. Then, for an hour and 20 minutes, there will be a walk around the most interesting points of the biggest neighborhood of Jewry in all of Spain (remnants of walls, synagogues, the cemetery, Verde street, which is where the massacre of 1391 occurred, ancient ritual baths of Mikue, etc.)"

Rafael was a friendly and informative guide. He went above and beyond by sending me extra information afterward and we had a great time. Highly recommend!

Difficult to rate this tourist attraction. We had expected a museum, but it calls itself an “interpretive centre”! Perhaps that’s because the building only has one, small room in which artefacts are displayed. However, the exhibits are interesting, and detailed information is provided in English....More

We loved this small museum, a must see if you're interested in history and / or the Jewish story...their beautiful instruments and all the keys of their houses they handed back...sad but provoking...staff were extremely polite and helpful.

I visited this wonderful centre and went on two Judería tours led by Jorge and Rafael, both first-class knowledgeable guides with excellent English. This is the only place in Seville where you can find out about the important role played by the Jews in the...More

The Center fulfills a unique and important task of providing information about the otherwise silenced/extinguished and forgotten Jewish History in Sevilla. There is a section of town called "Juderia", which is a tourist trap but nothing is left of the original buildings and its inhabitants....More

Being of Sephardic heritage I was interested to check this place out. It was very small with minimal content. I am glad they have something like this but more is needed. An ability to research Sephardic backgrounds would be great.

This center is not easy to find but well worth looking for. The exhibits are in Spanish and English. One exhibits stresses that it was the Sephardic women that kept the culture alive in exile through ritual, food , and custom. The stories are very well...More
