Beyond the Iberian peninsula most people are rather uncomfortable about bullfighting, which makes a visit to this venerable bullring with attached museums all the more fascinating – not least for those who would never consider attending a bullfight. An inspection of the ring, and the backstage facilities that sustain it (the Plaza, of necessity, has its own ER) is a good counterpoint to a browse around a museum which is full of artwork and costumes celebrating the skill of the matador together with the mounted heads of their animal nemeses. Go with an open mind and you’ll leave with a much better understanding of bullfighting’s place in the life and culture of Andalucía.

Whatever your views on bullfighting are, this is an important part of the culture of the area. The tours are €8 each and the highlight being you can walk the onto the bullring. A beautiful building an interesting way to spend an hour.

Great place for a shorter tour of about 30-40 minutes. You will see the history of bullfighting, the clothing, the sport and the arena. It can be regarded as a cruel sport, but it is worth a visit while you are in Sevilla.

This tour was very interesting! Buy your ticket and wait until the tour starts which for us was just a few minutes. There was a big group on this tour and the guide took us through various parts of the museum first speaking Spanish and...More

I visited Plaza de toros because I never saw a bull fight. The building itself is not something extraodinary. The interesting part was the information provided by the guide. The history details she gave us were the best memory of the place.

The lady who did the tour was very lovely and it was very cool to see the other side of the fight. Museum was cool to see and you get to walk in the ring.

This activity needs to evolve with the times. It has a history and it is good to share that, but I weep for the animals.

it is a very interesting place to visit, especially when you get to stand right in the middle. Top tip: if you want to go to the loo go before the tour as you don't come back to the start.

I went for the free tour between 3pm and 7pm. You need to queue to get tickets if you want to save money. It is very hot in the queue I wouldn't queue with children, so one queue and you can book the tour to...More

This arena for bullfighting is unbelievable. We thoroughly enjoyed our guided tour which entailed the history of bullfighting back centuries ago before bulls were used. The Museum was very interesting with outfits, equipment and bull head trophies to see from years ago to present. The...More

They are open for tours 9:30am to 7pm, they start a tour about every half hour. There was a wait when we went so we bought our tickets an hour ahead then went and got Gelato while we waited :)
