Like others we read about this place in the guide books as a locals recommendation and thought we’d duck in. Was full of other tourists, we weren’t really given an option on the drinks, and what we had was really expensive compared to the rest...More

Wow. This place is fantastic. The decor is over the top. Moody, ornate, devout, and floral. You almost expect to run into vampires. We had fun there and enjoyed the atmosphere while we drank our beer. Some of us tried a crazy drink called Sangre...More

The most Unique Bar I’ve ever visited! Great atmosphere, amazing decor, so different but very traditional. The owner Miguel was great, he is also an artist and you can see his beautiful work there. We had a lot of fun and we will be back...More

There's no football on tv, tapas, english speaking waiters or even wine and it's more expensive than other places and its pretty much the best bar around thanks to the decor, the clientele, the music and the barman. A wonderful place to spend a night...More

The decor is like a church after a funeral or maybe a late 19th century family mausoleum. Very bizarre but really enjoyed taking it all in. Don’t expect to get a glass of wine or a jug of sangria though. It’s beer or spirits. Only...More

So, one of my traveling companions on this trip knew an author living in Sevilla who told her about El Garlochi. Almost midnight, wandering down small streets we came upon this bar. For her, it was the gateway to heaven with all the super catholic...More

We visited this bar after seeing some great recommendations online and in the Lonely Planet. I was expecting a fun, over embellished bar with some cocktails. What we got was the most miserable bar man I have ever seen, who chain smoked throughout, making the...More

Heavily decorated with religious decor and portraits - some with real items such as shawls, flowers - The portrait of the child was that of our bartender! The specialty drink is the Blood of Christ! Such a fun and unique place

I'm not sure that I'd want to make a night of it at El Garlochi, but I wouldn't have missed having a drink there. The decoration is wholly religious; a statue of Christ dominates one end of the bar, and the BVM the other. The...More

Something different to say the least! A religious bar, nearly a must see. Walls decorated with religious paraphernalia. The old Bar tender (think he could be owner) was friendly, and didn't mind all the patrons taking photographs and selfies of all the quirky decor. He...More
