Betis Vs Barca - La Liga
Feb 2020 • Solo
Old school Spanish stadium with incredible atmosphere. Big and steep which helps to create the atmosphere, however very run down. Reminded me a little of the Vicente Calderón (but nowhere near as good) back in the day. Do not pay for seats in the front 2 rows or you won’t see thing as your sitting in a trench and the advertising boards are that high you can’t see a thing. This is hugely misleading from the club as the tickets are not marked ‘restricted view’ during or after purchase. Hotdogs are crap and there’s no other choice, so eat before you go. I would go back, but would not pay €90 again to see them play Barcelona. Spanish football is slowly pricing ‘real’ fans out of the game. There was a lot of empty seats. PS I did move seats of my own accord in the end.

GREAT TIME
Aug 2019
I was there with my son on organised tour. Everything was great, we were only visitors not from Spain, but the guide was great.

Surprisingly Basic
Jun 2019 • Solo
Located to the east of the city of Seville is Real Betis FC. I walked it to the ground on a Saturday afternoon in June when it was 41 degrees of blistering hot heat from Padro de San Sebastian. It was a good walk, thinking it would take roughly about 30 minutes on foot it actually took well over an hour despite twice stopping people to ask how far it was, each time being told that it was 10/15 minutes walking distance - on neither occasion was that right. I wanted to see the ground as i had literally just been to the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan (Seville FC).
When i arrived at the Real Betis Stadium i couldn't believe just how dated it was.
Rather than looking at a stadium from La Liga in Spain, i thought i was looking at a stadium in a eastern block country. The old concrete exterior takes it back a good 40 years rather than a stadium from todays era.
Unfortunately, i was not able to get into the ground as i would of liked to have seen the interior, but it was June, an so out of season.
The club shop there is also tiny, very basic and on a par with the size of club shops you see here in England at championship/league one level, which also surprised me bearing in mind that this is meant to be a La Liga club.
Hopefully i can go back at some point, in the season so i can catch a game.

Impressive stadium

We went to see a match in La Liga, Real Betis Balompié vs. Girona, 3-2. Enjoyable game, impressive stadium with good and unrestricted view everywhere. Bought tickets in advance, an online rip-off. The weather was sunny, but still quite cold in January, so bring a warm jacket.

The fourth
Jan 2019 • Solo
The fourth largest football stadium in Spain is well worth a visit. Rarely sold out, usually cheaper for Copa del Rey matches, the No.1 bus will take you to the city centre.

Trying to be objective...

I've been to a couple of La Liga grounds and this isn't the best. But holy moly, I've never seen England beat a Spain side anywhere else. The view from the upper tier is not worth the 16 flights of stairs needed to get that far up. But still... 3-2, even Sterling scored, so it was all worth it !
Anyway, it's a fair walk from the centre, so you'll need a bus (routes 1 and 3 definitely go that way). A few very crowded bars in the area, but it's match day, so what did you expect.

Home of Real Betis Balompie, and a great place to see the Primera Liga, especially now the Gol Sur stand has been rebuilt reached its full height - and close in the lively match-day atmosphere more.

Mighty 3 Lions toppling the Spanish!
Oct 2018 • Friends
I travelled to watch England away against Spain and had an amazing time!

The stadium itself was very basic and looked pretty shoddy. There were no folding seats so walking past people or vice versa was a pain!
It had been raining all day and just outside the gate to the seats was just filled with puddles which I'm sure had intertwined with urine from the toilets...it was a heavy day on the beers for many of us after all!

However, we made the atmosphere electric and it sounded amazing! When we left eventually due to being held back, we got out and heard a few last people singing inside and it sounded pretty loud!

I can imagine for a derby match the atmosphere is electric as well.

Overall, other than the atmosphere, the stadium is very basic, but not terrible either.

Seville Derby... Real Betis v Sevilla
Sep 2018
One of the best atmospheres I have ever seen at a footy game. Betis fans were insane! Highly recommend going here, especially for the local derby.
