Worth visiting if raining and wonderful history of Roman life in this part of Spain. Superb architecture below the city streets.

The second of the four municipal museums tracing Zaragoza's Roman past, this one is another winner. The entrance is a modern stone and glass pavilion that pops out of the ground in front of the cathedral Seo; it turns out that a large Roman forum was built on the same site 1000 years before. You descend 20' below ground to... More

A small but interesting Roman Museum in the centre of the Museum. Interesting film introduction which was all in Spanish but some of the exhibits have English translations

The site is quite nice, but each 30 mins they present a video where they explain the history of CaesarAugusta until it became Zaragoza, and the video is great

First of all this is an underground site, so don't look for Roman ruins as I did. ))) The combination ticket includes 4 sites and costs €7. Three of them are underground sites. The forum is the largest although it's small which is understandable as it must be pretty hard to conduct a dig in the middle of the main... More

This was the unexpected surprise attraction of Zaragoza, so much history here I had no idea! Excellent presentation Center, informative movie, and a break from the heat too! Take the time, buy the pass for all 4 sites, learn about how important this city was thru the years. Bravo

The Forum museum makes astonishingly good and interesting use of some rather basic remains, and we were impressed at how much thought had been put into presentation. There were even handsome scale reconstructions of parts of the Forum in wood, made to be handled, with labels in braille as well as in writing for the sighted. We did the Roman... More

This is certainly the best of the Roman museums in Zaragoza - the biggest and most informative. It has a reasonable amount of information available in English, although the opening film wasn't available in English when we went there. The lay out inside is very interesting as you walk around the excavations of the forum. You also have the delight... More

A history museum under ZARAGOZA's main square, set on the very archeological ruins of the Cesarea Augusta roman colony. Visit begins with a 20 min movie (english or spanish depending on the audinece) about the history of the colony, told from the perspective of the EBRO river, made an otherwise boring museum visit uterly fascinating. One of the most memorable... More

A trip to the Museo del Foro is an interesting one. It's easy to forget, or in my case not know in the first place, how vastly different Zaragoza used to be. When one takes a look at Basilica del Pilar, it simply looks like it has stood there forever, so when I saw the model of the Forum that... More
