La Seu is across the square and considered to be the do-not-miss attractions. However, I found Our Lady of the Pillar to be more inviting inside than La Seu. It has spectacular gold-gilding and Goya frescos but doesn't scream extreme oppulance the way La Seu...More

This is one of the most beautiful Basilica's I have seen in Europe. The best part is that it is free to visit!

We visited here in May of 2017. It was mind blowing the size and beauty of this place. It was so special and prayerful , the devotion was apparent. The history of St James being here and the Blessed Mother appearing to him there is...More

We're not churchgoers, except when traveling, we enjoy the history and the architecture and the reverence you feel, sometimes. This Basilica was breathtaking. In London or Rome,(what would Jesus say?) you would pay €€€£££ to get in the door, here it was free!

A stunning building in the centre of the city! I loved the square in front of Pilar and the small cafeterias!

It's just mind blowing to wander around in such a huge collection of wealth in one building. It was free entry and well worth a visit.

One of the most amazing and beautiful basilicas in the world. With ceiling pained by Goya and ornate decorations and statues it is quite overwhelming and difficult to take in all you see in one visit. Highly recommend and will be heading back at night...More

The story of the lady is incredible. This is still very much a working cathedral. Visitors should definitely ascend the tower for a wonderful view of the city.

Hi John G, I have not but, have talked to a few taxi/Uber drivers who would do this sort of thing on their spare time. In the case of Zaragoza...I don't think is necessary...all the 'old' part is in a ten block by ten block... More

Don't drive. Find somewhere on the edge of town to park and take the tram.
