La Seo is a huge gothic cathedral with incredibly elaborate chapels in the side aisles as well as a central choir lined with little chapels. I guess it is interesting from an artistic point of view, but I found it emotionally cold, especially in comparison...More

Currently restoring the exterior but check out the beautiful ceramic tiled side wall ( left exterior wall when facing front facade). The interior is also full of interesting art and do not miss the exquisite tapestry rooms upstairs. The location of the church is near...More

Even if you just look at the outside you will be amazed at the mosaic of geometrical architecture on the stone - this used to be a mosque and was turned into a church

The old cathedral, known as La Seo stands at the far end of plaza del pilar. The gleaming exterior is essentially gothic-mudejar. The wall on a side is with elaborate geometric patterns. Make it really stunning. Must see it.

Fantastic bell tower and huge cathedral, built into the medieval mosque. Very nice surroundings and area. However entrance is locked as its on some kind of reconstruction

Exquisite azure mosaic design on the cathedral exterior. Sadly I did not go inside as the cathedral closes for much of the day. Check opening times.

Inside, this cathedral is the most beautiful and impressive buidling in Zaragoza, more so than the Basilica del Pilar. Exquisite vaulted ceilings in high-Gothic style, ornate chapels, spectacular altar pieces The tapestry museum. Unfortunately the whole thing closes in the aftrernoon, like so many places...More

I had friends waiting for me, but once I got upstairs to the tapestry museum I texted them to tell them not to wait: there was no way I could NOT take a good look once there, as the tapestries were stunning: 15th-century Flemish masterworks...More
