I visited with my husband who is fascinated with the Napoleonic era, being a 95th rifles re-enactor. Fantastic array of weapons and armoury excellently presented. Having met the staff they are very enthusiastic and obviously put a lot of their own time and effort into the museum. We came here, partly because we wanted to go to the Belles Artes next door, and partly because we knew we could buy a combined ticket that meant we saved several euros on the cost of admission to all the main museums in the city. This small and compact museum is one of the hidden gems of the city. Specially in 2013, when 200 years are celebrated from the Battle of Vittoria, one of the most important battles of Anglo-portuguese forces against Napoleonic French Army.
