So much prehistoric site in Minorque, don't be afraid to visit, this site are in a wonderful nature, it's an entrance paying, and think, every day life would be full of wonder, mystery and glory, full of tremendous exitement and enthousism; the history of Minorque is very interesting; here it's really special; a spirit of revitalized sensitivity and bountless.-

There are many archaeological sites around the island but this one gives you a real insight into how this entire civilisation lived and worked. Well preserved but without being unnaturally 'restored' to recreate an ancient site. Lots of useful information as you go around and caves to dip in and out of. The size of it is stunning! As previous... More

When you are staying on Menorca you have to take a jeep safari then you'll be able to discover the island. You will see place you've never seen before. Go for it.

Lets go back to the prehistorical iron age. The first inhabitants of the island were the talayótics .This archeological site is composed by aroubd 30 houses, public places, burying places. Menorca talayótic is candidating to the world heritage.

Well signed off road. First you come to a visitor centre but carry onabout 1km and you come to the site itself. Parking for about 20 cars. Kiosk sells tickets(€3 each). Self guided walk around site. Quite a bit of scrambling and going into caves etc so not good for buggies or wheel chairs. Bring a drink as no services.... More

Really interesting, loved getting close to the history here. Part was under excavation when we visited but that didn't hinder the visit in any way. We went on a Monday and it's free on Mondays.

Had been to a couple of smaller sites which while good didn't really convey the full scale of this civilisation and society - this site is pretty big and the information centre video was really interesting and helped portray what life would have been like. Without having seen the video I didn't really understand how people would have lived in... More

Great morning exploring. Probably would advise to go a day the information centre is open and you would learn more. Incredible to see how other cultures/civilisations where able to create such structures with just man power. It's humbling. Enjoyed by all. Take plenty of water it's very exposed.
