A nice little visit to this historic town. The roads are cobbles but in good condition for pushing up and down a baby buggy. Good selection of places to eat.

We took the road trip to Betancuria as it was recommended by friends & so thrilled we did. Ok the mountain roads were a little hair raising in places, especially if you met a coach coming the other way, but the sights & views are...More

It's worth stopping at this place especially if your doing the mountain road, drove past it a few times then decided to stop,it can get busy with coach's but worth it for a look round and a few photos

A former capital of the island Betancuria is a nice little village to stop at and visit. We stopped here whilst out on a drive from our hotel. There are little shops, a museum and a nice little church to visit. One Euro coins needed...More

We were going to stop here on the way south, but the car park was busy, so we came back later c 4pm, when most of the day trippers had gone, so we almost had the place to ourselves. It is worth meandering the back...More

We stood in the southern part of Fuerteventura. It was a very interesting trip to Betancuria- We saw lot of beautyful places along our trip. The hilly roads are sometimes challenging your driving habits. This place is worth to visit. There are no touristic settelments-...More

This stunning traditional village is well worth the winding drive up and down the hills, with a stop off to feed the chip monks and at a high point on the island. This village is how I imagine most traditional villages of these islands should...More

Unlike most of Fuerteventura this village sits in a lovely green setting. For a capital town it is quite small and quaint. The drive up the steep mountain roads is worth it -but could be easier if you come on a coach trip.

Took a drive up the mountain and visited the old capital. It's quiet small and very pretty. We visited in February so there wasn't many people. I can imagine it'd get quite busy and crowded in warmer weather. There are number of nice looking restaurants...More

We have been to the island before and always visit this tiny but picturesque village. In truth not much there except couple of nice cafes, a church and gift shops but it has a charm that is difficult to put into words. There is always...More
