Amazing--and completely different weather than Cruz de Tejada!

We stayed in Cruz de Tejada and had planned to hike from there to Roque Nublo but woke up to awful weather--fog so thick you could barely see and horrible wind. Since we were so close to Roque Nublo, we were sure that the weather would be bad there also, but we had been looking forward to it so decided... More

Picturesque, high allitute location, which you share with many others, including a number of tourist coaches. It is hard to quantify just how special this almost alpine place is - in fact the rock formation has become the symbol of Gran Canaria, and therefore a must see spot. A well maintained pathleads to the finger shaped rock, and on it... More

Started from parking la goleta. The way to the rock is not too long and moderately challenging, proper footwear is important! We've been there on a cloudy/foggy day but the views were still great. Recommendable to wait for better wheather if possible. It's very windy and can be cold so windbreaker and protection for throat and head is a must!

Stunning location and great hike. Make sure you go to this place twice once in the day and one in the night. The views are so different and so great!

We visited in fog, wind and +3oC, still it was a fabulous experience. The rock is huge! It seemed like the rock got larger and larger as we approached. I guess the fog made the experience even more special. We had prepared for far colder conditions than by the coast by bringing a woolen sweather and a jacket. However, I... More

After arriving at the car park at the bottom of the hike, it will take about 15 minutes to go all the way up to Roque Nublo. It can get very very windy on the walk up and at the top you will feel part of the clouds. Sometimes you get a completely clear view, on other days, you can... More

This is a must when you are on GC. Come to this place by car and park on the parking lot. From there you can have a short walk with enjoying the great view. And this is a point where different options for hiking start.

This was the best day I spent on Gran Canaria. I wanted a looped walk so I started in the village below the peak which was beautiful too, I grabbed a lovely coffee in the village cafe/bar and followed the well marked path to the top and back down. Despite all the warnings, I did it in tennis shoes not... More

The drive there is half the joy with stunning scenery around every twist in the road. You'll need to wait to park or get there outside the busy times.

Get here early to ensure parking. Fairly easily accessable for people of average fitness. Fantastic views over to Tenerife and mt Teide above the clouds.
