We stopped here for a 'quick look' while driving from El golfo to Salinas de Janubio. The road between the 2 was a spectacular drive through fields of lava. The stop at los Hervideros was well worth it and we spent about 1/2 hour enjoying the sight of waves crashing against the rocks and into the caves.

This is a great place to visit when touring the south west of Lanzarote. There is a large car park and clearly signposted paths through the lava flow which allows you to see the sea crashing against the lava flow. Well worth a stop.

Nice to see the wave breaking into the stone walls and holes. Go here when it is a high tide and windy and you will see hugh splashes. We took some nice pictures even when there was not so much wind.

Really nice spot to look over the see and also inland Lanzarote. You should come in the afternoon for the best light and also hope for good waves (also it's nice without them). This is a free attraction (even free parking). Also nice sunset views. It really is one of the underrated things to see on Lanzarote. Don't miss out... More

Interesting geology, but for most people, the experience would be best when the waves are really battering the coast.

The hervidores are a spectacular natural phenomenon caused by rapidly cooling lava during the 1736 eruption of Timanfaya . The landscape is amazing and very dramatic, made even more so when the sea is rough and the waves or swell is high. Make sure young children stay close but it's very educational, our 3 year old was fascinated. Also it's... More

If like me you have a fascination of the sea and to look at it's powers then this is the place to visit on Lanzarote. Whilst much of the islands coast line is fantastic Los Hervidos (together with the Salinas nearby and El Golfo) provides the best views. If you can catch Los Hervidos when the Atlantic is in full... This is a truly must see if in Lanzarote, its free for starters, and some of the walks and views of the sea are simply breathtaking. We spent 2 hours there but could have been so much longer. Wear comfy shoes, or shows with grip, as it can get a little slippery. Watching the sea crash against the rocks is... More

A superb view of crashing waves and surf swilling around through a cave. It's free with plenty of parking.

Boiling sea rushing through volcanic caves. Huge 4m waves as we visited made for dramatic violent seas. Loved the lower viewing platform that got occasionally wet. Great little paths around to explore different views. Dramatic scenery. Go on a day when the waves are towering - well worth it
