Always visit El Charco when in Arecife. Lovely usually quiet and relaxing area to walk round, stop at one of its cafes, have a drink and take in the view. Only 5 minutes from the towns main shopping area.

Nicest place in Arrecife with a lovely view, boats and plenty of places to sit and have a drink or tapas.

Very pretty place which has had some money spent on refurbishment. Nice restaurants and bars and right in the centre of town

Loved walking around here at night and during the day. Lovely food and drink and it really came to life on Friday nights with local families walking and dining in the area.

Apparently an old inlet from the sea was once a lagoon and trashed. Now cleaned up and on its way to be a centre point of the city. But too many centre points in the city a including the promenade. Needs a plan or I can see the current set of excellent restaurants could go downhill

Visited one of the numerous restaurants dotted along this harbour area which contains a large number of small boats all glinting in the sunshine. Clearly a part of town that was previously run down but is now experiencing a renaissance following substantial investment. Still work to do if you look towards the far end of the harbour which resembles Aleppo... More

This is a steadily improving area of Arrecife. It has been undergoing a renaissance for some time now. This is reflected in the quality of the surrounding bars and restaurants, the adjacent residential properties as well as the general feel of the area. Yes, there is still some work to do, and it does seem to be steadily continuing, but... More
