Museum can be busy even in off season, but worth a visit before going to see the Prada in Madrid. Lots of background on El Greco which is easily missed elsewhere.

To be able to walk around this recreation of what El Greco’s home would have been like is amazing. The art work just blows you away. To think he was able to mix the colours he did and his use of light and shade is...More

It was a nice experience seeing the works of El Greco in the town where he became famous. The "Sala de los apostoles" was very nice.

At first my husband and I were concerned there wouldn’t be enough of his original art as you begin the tour. I appears as if the tour may all be about his house but about 2/3 through you get to finally see enough of his...More

We paid our money and went in. A man described the one painting and then directed out the door. €2.80 each for less than 5mins. Did we miss something?

Pros: + It’s a little and nice museum, you can have a small taste of El Greco history and live. Conts: - Maybe, its one of the few places in Toledo that worth it.

I didn't even appreciate El Greco before going in (and having visited the Museo Prado in Madrid) but I loved this museum. It's not really his house, but it's a great and quiet location (until school groups arrive) where you can see a few great...More

In the midst of the busy town of Toledo is a rather unusual museum and house of El Greco's work and life. It has a limited amount of El Greco's work, but is tastefully displayed and with a rather lovely garden to relax a while...More

Loved visiting the Museo del Greco as it was completely different from what I expected. It had beautiful outdoor space and you got to explore a recreation of el Greco's house. A must-visit in Toledo, especially Saturdays after 2pm as it is free!

A nice little display of the artist works, biblical works most of them You really get an appreciation of the uniqueness of El Greco style, that must have been quite controversial at in his days
