Some have written about the Army museum here. It is in the same building but this is the library and the museum is on the other side. We didn't spend much time in the library because our whole group was English speaking. We just took...More

Whilst in Toledo, a 'must do' is the Alcazar. It has a naval and military exhibition on at the moment which is extremely interesting but a bit boring too. So many guns and swords you come out dizzy! Nevertheless well worth a visit and certainly...More

The Alcazar dominates the skyline of Toledo just the way Carlos III wanted it to. Unfortunately his son Felipe II moved the capital to Madrid before the fortress as we know it was finished. With that said the current Alcazar was rebuilt after the Spanish...More

From the coffee shop at the 2nd floor (you can use the elevator) there are very nice views of Toledo.

Right near the main Square. It is a beautiful and massive building which has been kept in great shape. It holds the Main library and the Military Museum. Need a wide angle lens for the picture.

When looking at the skyline of Toledo from outside the walls, the Alcazar is one of its most impressive structures.

Its always good to see and experience places and events that we learn from school. We heard different stories about the Man from La Mancha and it's great to see where he came from

Even though this is a "military museum" it gives you an excellent history of Toledo and Spain in general. Well done reconstruction after it was bombed in the Civil War.
