Once you emerge from the narrow streets of Toledo take a break in Plaza de Zocodover and do a little people watching. It is central & a great place to get a cab back to the train station.

A good place for people-watching and a destination as you stroll up Calle Comercio. For us it was a thoroughfare, not a destination. Still, there are lots of shops and eateries there and nearby.

Compared to other plazas we have visited, Zocodover was much smaller and lacked the ambiance of other plazas in the area. Architecturally, it was beautiful but the Toledo's real architectural treasures were out of view. Seeing McDonalds and Burger King displayed prominently hardly added to the experience either.

This plaza is nice to sit and have a drink and see people walking by. For the rest...there is a lot of fast-food restaurants and the prices are quit high. If you go around the corner in one of the side streets there are good restaurants with typical food of the region for a normal price

We used this plaza to rest during our long walks which always seemed to be uphill. Yes the burger joints take up a large portion of the plaza perimeter, but there are benches with scenes from Don Quixote made from tiles. There are trees, people to watch, and wonderful marzapan nearby. It is certainly a stopover spot and not a... More

The square is a beautiful place to walk around and have a great time. Recommended for all people, do not matter the age.

This is the main square in Toledo. Having entered the old city from San Martin Bridge, it was the last place we visited. Crowded, touristy, and somewhat dirty, it didn’t have any appeal to me. You will find shops and cafes, and down the escalator a Hop on Hop off stop. By the way, the escalator is really amazing and... More

This is a central place of Toledo, few min taxi ride from train station. You can find a lot of cafes, restaurants, souvenir shops and many side streets start there. Many pastry shops, in particular Toledo marzipans, also can be found there.
