We have been on many free walking tours and thus one does not measure up. If can't understand the guide very well, pick another tour. Our guide used a microphone that was only understandable if you were in front of it. As the guide turned...More

We felt that the sound of the speaker that carried the person who guided the group had not been up to the circumstances. It is possible that the battery was low. It is not usual. We understand your discomfort if you have not been able...More
In the 1.5 hrs, one gets to learn a lot of things about the lovely city of Toledo. Our guide was Estafania. The pace of the tour was good and the legends kept us entertained, without compromising on the historical facts. Important to know is...More

Sam(uel) was our guide and we can only very highly recommend him and his colleagues for this free or their paid tours. After speaking to Sam’s colleague Isaac the evening before, when we tried to attend/find a free or paid ‘underground’ tour in English we...More
I must admit me and my friends were a bit chatty and probably lacked a bit of discipline, but our lovely guide managed the situation very gracefully. She was very knowledgeable and sweet and full of history and interesting facts!
She was really great!

We took the English tour today with Sam As a third generation local his passion and knowledge came through with the knowledge and history he shared.
It was fun, entertaining and we learned a lot about Toledo and it’s amazing history I would recommend this...More
We took a free tour in Spanish around the city, that lastes some 90 minutes. Estafanía is a local and very knowledgeable, she takes the time to answer all the questions the participants may have and is very helpful on dinner places too! Highly recommended.
We joined Sam’s tour yesterday and are so glad we did. His passion for his city and its fascinating history was infectious and he was only too happy to answer our questions (including some fairly political ones on our part). For a couple of travel...More
We have been on many of these free walking tours in many cities and countries, but this one left a lot to be desired. Maria's English was really poor. She knew the words but pronunciation was terrible. If we hadn't wanted to see sights of...More

From the home page for Cuéntametoledo, in the upper left hand corner, look for an umbrella which says "Free Tours." Click on the umbrella/link, then on the next page, scroll down to where it says "Free Tour - English Version" and click on that title. That should guide you to a page which shares, in English, a lot of information and booking instructions. And yes, you can join a group as a solo traveler. The tours are "free," which means you register/reserve a spot, show up at the meeting time and take the tour without a charge. Then, if you feel compelled, tip your guide upon completion of the tour to show your appreciation for their service. Hope that helps!
