We spent between 1 and 2 hours at the museum. It covers 3 floors, a basement containing coins and tombstones - the first floor containing exhibits on the prehistory and Roman era (which we found especially interesting) and then a floor covering the middle ages...More

This is a beautiful museum in a modern building, the exhibits are wonderful, though English language explanations are sporadic. Well worth the small admission charge. You could easily spend a couple of hours here learning about the Roman era and the importance of Leon in...More

It was a delight to find this place - a mixture of modern art and Roman mosaics! And the price was sure right - we even would have paid to see the exhibits. The mosaics were the best - beautiful colors. The museum was almost...More

Currently there is a small exhibit with Picasso and contemporaries that is worth seeing. The other floors focus on early Roman ruins and includes a very interesting exhibit of the medieval period. Takes a little over an hour and very worthwhile.

Was walking around Leon and made a brief stop at Museo de Leon, admission for free. Worth doing it when you are in Leon.
