We were staying at the hotel nearby and the first thing we did in Salamanca was visiting the convent. It reflected how religious orders used to live and pray many years ago. The clause is well kept and the portico and the interior are equality...More

We tried to see this convento. It was 17.25 and it closes at 18.00 hr. However it said ‘“last ticket at 17.15hr’. It has been our only visit to Salamanca in our life as we don’t live in Spain. It is unlikely we will ever...More

Beautiful cloister, interesting frescoes from 18th century, small museum includes bottles from the pharmacy. Although it's open til 8pm you are advised to go in daylight. I went at 6pm and it wasn't really light enough to see the frescoes clearly. the facade is spectacular.

This is an absolute must. Beautiful architecture. There is a lot to see inside this Convent. Stunning staircase, choir stalls, sacristy and church. Don't miss this. They even provide mirrors so you don't have to strain your neck to look at the gorgeous stone work.

Next to the city centre, this dominican convent prouds itself to its democratic roots. The 'Indios' are depicted as human beings as we all are, not a common thought in the middle ages. Both convent, cloister, church are worth visiting.
