The columns in the inner courtyard are topped with amazing, tormented characters that you could study for hours (and we did). This was one of the most memorable sights in Salamanca.

We nearly missed it, they were just closing. A nun let us in and ushered us in to the bake shop. The cookies are very good and the courtyard was lovely. But, we did not get to see the big courtyard because they closed.

The cloisters are lovely - so peaceful. The nun selling the little cakes was welcoming and a great saleslady!! Lovely just to sit in the sun and recharge your batteries. It would have been most helpful if there had been a leaflet in English but...More

There is a small fee for entrance but it is worth it go to and spend a little time walking around this low key venue. It was also nice to buy cakes made by the nuns in the small shop attached to the front entrance...More

This quaint convento is another place one has to see. It is impeccable and the detailing of the columns is impressive. Check out each column, they are all different and some are very strange. Also, the flooring is rather unusual.

The cloister is beautiful and tranquil. The church is so ugly it has to be seen. 20 more characters seem to be needed.

Small convent with a smaller museum which does contain some interesting things and we loved the travel trunk, very ornate. Of course you have to buy some 'dolce' so we did, hopefully they are nice we've resisted so far!

This was a lovely spot on the edge of heavy traffic. I had read that they have delicious pastry and was disappointed that even though the sign said to ring for ordering, they weren't selling any more for several days.

Sadly access is limited to the cloisters of this convent, although there is also a small museum which can be visited. Lack of English leaflet or text made understanding some of the exhibits difficult. But the cloisters themselves were really atmospheric. Worth visiting just for...More

There is not a great deal to see at las Duenas but the cloister is lovely, full of roses and other flowers and the stone figures supporting the columns are interesting. The two small exhibitions are quite interesting. I felt that it was worth the...More
