This was by far the best way to see Barcelona. My two teenager daughters and I were taken around the city by our guide Sandra for two days. The tour was fun, interesting, and very informative! Amazing city and so much to see and learn. I would tour with Sandra for several more days if we had the time. Her English is exceptional and she is very knowledgeable and fun.

I have visited before but on my own. Now the interior is open and finished, Sandra was able to inform and enliven Gaudí's great masterpiece in the interesting and even funny way.

We recently took a school group of 20 students, aged 16-19, to Barcelona for the first time. They were booked in for a 4 hour walking tour and we were worried this might be too long, but our tour guide Christina was absolutely fantastic! She factored in breaks for them, and as the tour was longer than usual, she showed them some quirky features and landmarks off the normal tourist trail. They all thoroughly enjoyed it and got a real feel for the city. Christina was very knowledgeable and friendly. We would definitely recommend this tour.
Thank you Christina and Sandra.

We had a terrible time with an inexperienced guide who has no time management and customer service. We spent 800 euro for 5-hour tour due to our cruise schedule. The guide went to the wrong terminal while we waited 20minutes (remember this was a 5-hour tour). Without knowing how far the distance is from site to site, she had us lingered at one site too long, therefore we missed the window of making to the next appointment by 45 minutes. We were denied entrance. She blamed us for taking too long but none of us had never been to Barcelona, so how can she expect us to know when to leave. Sandra, the director promised to refund us the site tickets (not even the wasted tour hours we booked) but after 10 emails and many weeks, I never got money back. I would caution anyone hiring them, especially when you are pressed for time.

We took a day trip to Sitges and started the day with a walking tour by Walking Planets. After a 30 minute train ride from Barcelona we met our guide, the lovely Sandra, at the Sitges train station. We spent a great 3 or 4 hours exploring everything that Sitges had to offer. Sandra's a true local and she made it a wonderful experience. She provided great tips for us to do during the rest of our stay in Sitges and also in Barcelona. Definitely check out Walking Planets if your looking for something different to the usual touristic activities.

If you are planning a Barcelona trip do not go without taking this tour! Sandra is a native
who knows more about her city's culture and history than anything you could put together yourself. The streets, walls and buildings come alive while walking with her through the real Barcelona. Her ability to connect with people is amazing and the information that she shares is accurate, historical, personal and entertaining. You feel that she is your long lost cousin and she is showing you around. Do not even think of going on a tour with a crowd when you can have your own private guide who shares all the jewels this city has to offer. I will call Sandra next time I am there which I hope is soon!

If you want to explore Barcelona's through the eyes of a local, then Walking Planets is the way to do it. I had been to Barcelona several times and done loads of tours of Barcelona before my first walking planet experience and I haven't looked back since. While you might hear some of the same stories, Walking Planet guides bring them to life and recounts them in a way that no other tour guide does. You will learn interesting little facts, take different routes and learn about the real culture. The visits are down to earth, great fun and much better than any other tour I've done in Barcelona

We travel all around the world, and always try to go on a walking tour to get a feel for the place and the people.

Planet Raval with Sandra was fantastic - in-depth history of Catalonia and Barcelona illustrated by places along the route; Lifestyles, public policy, education, immigration - Sandra answered the questions and helped us really understand how real people live. All of this in addition to a great architectural and story-telling walk, done with great charm and pride in Barcelona.

Second tour was Planet Gaudi with Aida. Very different style, but also very knowledgable. Even though we did a lot of reading on Gaudi, Aida pointed out details that were not covered in the guidebooks.

We also took a tour from a different company and it was a major disappointment. Stick with Planet!

Ana was such a great guide! She was knowledgeable and was thorough in her explanations and information she provided. After seeing the beaches, we had enough time to ride up to the W Hotel and enjoy the views from that point. Highly recommend the bike tour of Barcelona!

Recently I was with a group whiles visiting Barcelona for a few days and when we decided to do something a little different, we contacted Sandra at Walking Planets and met her a couple of days later for a 2 hour bicycle tour of Barcelona. Sandra is very knowledgeable of the city of Barcelona as well as really knows how to incorporate a different side of Barcelona into her bike tour all the while keeping it fresh and fun! Barcelo9na is covered in bicycle paths and this tour takes advantage of those running from the Gothic quarter, through the barrio, and onwards through Parc Ciutudella, including the beautiful Cascada fountain, passing the zoo and made our way to the sea-front for a break for swimming, grabbing a bite to eat, toilets, etc. Afterwards, we continued along the Barceloneta area and even to a few beautiful areas that only the locals would know about. What a great experience and we owe our gratitude to Sandra and her staff for helping us organize and participate in such a wonderful and fun way to see this while in Barcelona!
