Open since november 2007. Icebarcelona has become a must see in the Condal City. Frequented as much by locals as by tourists, the icebar is a perfect place to enjoy an original and very amusing experience.

The first ice bar at the beach in the world. A unique place at a temperature of -5ºC (20ºF), designed by internationally renowned artists.

The average visit lasts 45 minutes. While you are shivering with fun, you can relax on the terrace, perfect for an al fresco cocktail right in front of the Mediterranean sea.

I absolutely love this idea and they executed it amazingly. It is small but it's a big freezer so it's ok. They change the themes every few months, the theme we saw was Star Wars and they nailed it. It's very cold, they issued cleaned coats and cleaned gloves and 1 free (very strong) drink upon entry. Very interesting visit... More

We decided to try IceBarcelona on saturday night as part of our main night out for my hen do. Our hotel gave us a coupon for 10% discount. We went in about 11pm and it was relatively quiet despite the website saying it would likely be busy. The theme was Star Wars and all very well carried out. The cocktails... More

Visited here with my two friends, first time to an ice bar. It wasn't what I expected in that it was really just a really really cold room with ice sculptures. The sculptures are fantastic and its great to see, bjut I don't know if you could really call it a bar. To be fair we were the only people in... More

Sought this out as I had heard of it before our trip. It's smaller than I thought, basically a storage freezer with some ice sculptures but I really enjoyed it all the same. We went at about 2pm so there was less than 10 people there, we got coats and gloves and a free cocktail on arrival and had a... More

I have never been to an ice bar - it was an awesome experience. Highly recommended! I went with a few friends - we met many new friends from different countries. We took many fun memorable pictures!

It was a very small place but it had to be done. We loved the drinks we got with our tickets and the star wars theme was great! If you have never been to an icebar before, it is a must visit.

Ok, this was quite the experience. It was $17 a person to get in, but if you have never done an ice bar, it was worth it. You got a drink with the $17 and the drink came in an ice glass. You only spent about 1/2 hour - an hour in there. They provide a jacket and gloves with... More

We searched the icebar out as I've always fancied visiting one but never got round to it. The price of entry was 17.50 euro's which included a free drink and use of a coat and gloves. Plagiarising other peoples comments it's basically a stores freezer with ice sculptures in it and its what you make of your time there that... More

Having worked at a grocery story many years ago, the ice bar reminded me of going into the store's freezer that held the inventory, minus the ice sculptures of course. Dressing appropriately is also a good idea. There were girls in short skirts and sandals and they had to leave every 5 minutes to warm up. The theme we saw... More

Staying in Ciutadella / Vila Olimpica

Neighbourhood Profile
Ciutadella / Vila Olimpica
The sounds of Marina Olympica's rocking boats and clicking mastheads swaying to and fro set an impressive backdrop for Ciutadella and Villa Olimpica. Follow the aromas of garlic, wine, and fresh local fish to the various restaurants running along the marina. A grand bronze fish statue soaring high above serves as a beacon to those searching for the renowned Casino Barcelona or the extremely popular nightclubs which practically lie on the beach itself.
