JazzSi was a real find. If you are looking for a good flamenco show without the heavy price ticket and hard-sell, this small and intimate jazz club provides the perfect answer. Flamenco performances are held only on Friday and Saturday nights but it is worth visiting on any other night of the week for live performances of rock, cuban and... More

This is quite small place but intimate place for jazz, flameco, brazilian music. You don't have to book the place beforehand but it is good idea to be there early enough. Music was wonderful and athmophere was relaxed. Good mood.

We had so much fun here! The cover to get in is cash only, but it gets you one free drink. I showed up right as the door opened an hour before the show and was still barely able to get a seat. The cover was cheap and the additional drinks and food were decently priced. We had watched a... More

This club is mostly where the locals go in Barcelona, so it is not a tourist attraction which was great if you want to get away from doing touristy things. You get one free drink ticket when you purchase a ticket at the door. Show up early or you won't get a sit! Cheap appetizers and drinks so it doesn't... More

From 8-11pm this place erupted on a Saturday evening with a s crescendo of a guitar, then a singer of skill and explosive agony, a box drum, and then a cheech of a chong dancer that tore up the stage. Combined with impromptu yelps from the audience and some good stiff drinks, this was easily the best night we had... More

Turned up for the flamenco show on a Saturday. The place has few airs and graces about it, it's purely there for people to turn up and enjoy the music. Tapas are available and there's a free drink on entry. However, you need to get there early to get a seat (although when the seats are gone people just crowd... More

I thought flamenco was a man/woman dancing in all their finery and with castanets. Boy was I wrong. Or at least not fully right. Hubby and I have traveled in Spain but I had never seen a flamenco show. This trip we were in Barcelona (bucket list) for 5 days before a cruise out. We filled it with touristy things... More

My wife and I went to this Club on a Monday night for jazz. It's in a scruffy neighborhood (Raval) and tough to find. The doors open at 830pm and there were seats for 25-30 people. Luckily, we arrived a few minutes early and got seats close to stage. The jazz was excellent. 8E per person and it includes a... More

JazzSi is an lively bar with an upstairs gallery area from which feet dangle during the evening. I was advised to visit for their Tuesday night 'open mic' jam and I'm pleased to say, it did not disappoint! Being British, I am effluent in all other languages, including Spanglish. I gave the host a headache in the first few minutes... More

There is a serious shortage of Jazz Clubs like JazzSi Club. Best to stay nearby to simplify your stay in Barcelona...

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
