Good place for a picnic

Less stunning than most sites in Barcelona but still pleasant and a great place to sit and enjoy a picnic.

A lovely relaxed park with lots of different areas to sit and watch the day go by. Very relaxed. There a really nice lake. Behind the lake is the magnificent fountain statue which is truly amazing and a must see in Barcelona.

The park has magnificent fountain. When I was there for the first time it was working and the view was amazing. Unfortunately, the second and the third time it wasn't working, but still beautiful.

Everything you desire in a park is here, there's even a zoo. The sculptures, buildings and fountains are a wonder to behold. I could have spent the entire day here. There's an outdoor cafe and the park is full of locals and tourists together. Relaxing atmosphere. I'm rambling on a little as words don't do this park justice.

An absolutely beautiful park in the city of Barcelona. We visited this park most mornings and evenings during our stay as it was on our walk into the city from our hotel. The park itself is very spacious and has loads of things to see and do. It's great for a morning or evening stroll or if your just looking... More

The Parc de la Ciutadella is located to the east of the Gothic area. There was the Castell dels Tres Dragons, the Cascada Monumental with dragon fountains (which is said to look similar to the Trevi Fountain. It was really no where near as grand, although I enjoyed seeing it) and pretty walkways. An African band was out playing and... More

The park is located near one of Barcelona's best barrios, el Borne, and is so huge that anyone with some free time should definitely consider visiting. It's green, quite (given the location), full of life, fairly clean and safe. Bring over a book and some drinks and enjoy the sun!

A really nice park where you can go on a picnic or you can do a little boat ride, and there is also the Barcelona zoo right next to it which is a grate place for animal lovers, and its very close to the gothic part of Barcelona

It's a great park to go to to get away from the busy town. Go there to relax or have a picnic or just a walk. Well worth going to if you have an hour or two of time to spend.

pretty much all the parks are beautiful and can be rather tranquil - specially when you visit like me during a time when there aren't as many tourists as in the summer time

Neighbourhood Profile
Ciutadella / Vila Olimpica
The sounds of Marina Olympica's rocking boats and clicking mastheads swaying to and fro set an impressive backdrop for Ciutadella and Villa Olimpica. Follow the aromas of garlic, wine, and fresh local fish to the various restaurants running along the marina. A grand bronze fish statue soaring high above serves as a beacon to those searching for the renowned Casino Barcelona or the extremely popular nightclubs which practically lie on the beach itself.
