This Barcelona trip is not our first one and coming from a bike country, we thought this would be a nice way to get to see some new sights in town. The tour takes 3 hours which was actually just about enough, our guide Jort was a walking encyclopedia which brought a great perspective to everything we saw during our... More

Best way to explore the various barrio's of Barcelona. I would definitely recommend the bike tours. Good quality guides and bikes. Safe, fun, interesting and as a bonus you'll end up with a list of nice places to shop, dine, to do and drink. Give a little info of what you're interested in and they'll go a little more into... Thank you Leonie for giving us an amazing tour. We did the 3 hour bike tour. The company was recommended by our hotel and offered great value for money. I loved that we could choose where we wanted to go and what we wanted to see, which was great as I really wanted to go out and see the Barcelona... More

I researched several companies, and I am so pleased that we decided to take our tour with Brooden Tomaat. Ilona was always prompt and friendly in her responses via email. I found the company to have the most reasonable pricing in comparison. The tour with Jort included great historical facts that my husband truly appreciated. It was fun exercise, as... More

I did 2 of these walking tours, one with my partners mum and then with my own parents. The tours are a 2-3 hour private walking tour. We did the Gracia and Central tours which were both brilliant. Our guides were great and very knowledgable. The best thing about the tours was that because they were private, the tour went... More

We had a wonderful walking tour of the Ruto Centro with Jort. He was super nice, very knowledgable on Catalan history and current events and gave us a nice mix of art, culture, and sociology. This was our first private walking tour and I would do this again without question. Jort took us into private buildings and hidden locations that... More

The bike tour, I did just with my 12 year old son. I ordered a 'children bike tour' and Ingeborg (the manager) spontaniously proposed to do another tour for a 12year old. They were very flexible in changing the route. The guide herself, Ilona, started by listening what we wanted to do and expected from the tour. We wanted to... More

Warm welcome already upfront when asking for information and booking the bike tour, charming way of being accompanied through the city discovering lots of nice little places where regular tourists barely come, relaxed biking, great atmosphere. We really enjoyed it! A tip; book the bike tour as your first activity arriving in Barcelona. It will be of great help for... More

Staying in Gracia

Neighbourhood Profile
Gracia
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the centre, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theatre that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.
