A beautiful long Beach, with great walking paths dotted with street vendors selling souvenirs and fake handbags and beach towels. You'll also find people building huge sandcastle structures compete with water features and real fire.

There’s a long sidewalk the length of the beach. There’s not all that much going on besides people selling souvenirs or performing music for tips. Not as lively in the Fall as I expected.

We went to the beach on a sunny cool day. Quite a beautiful beach that was clean and maintained. The only annoying thing were in incessant hawkers trying to sell items or massages. It was hard to have a quite conversation without getting interrupted every...More

Nice beach and less packed . The wooden boats on the beach give this character. Even in winter with the calm water and boats makes a walk along the beach a must

Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area
can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging
over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each
other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing
games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away,
Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line
the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed
sand structures making this the most visited beach in

We did not see any parasailing on the beach where we walked. Maybe further away from town center?
