The menu is quite good but a little too expensive but, at the end, there is the extra cost of being on a place with such an historical background like "Els 4 gats" where Casas, Rusiñol, Gaudí or Picasso liked visiting it.

After visiting the Picasso museum, we visited Els Quatre Gats for drinks and appetizers. We were seated fairly quickly in the restaurant. We placed our order for two appetizers and three drinks. Then our server returned to our table a nd was embarrassed to inform us his manager asked that we please move ourselves to the bar area if we... More

Very attractive décor, relaxed style. Food very good, but rather expensive for what we had. 18 Euros for a jug of sangria was a bit OTT

The place looks very nice from inside. Tapas is good but nothing really extraordinary. But the prices are extremely high especially for sangria. We ordered two carafes of sangria and the second one had completely different taste (of a cheap bitter wine). We were amazed when we saw the price for sangria in the bill. It was 25€/carafe.

This restaurant was suggested by a friend. Went in the restaurant area (tapas are served in another area of the restaurant) Very good fish. Well prepared and cooked. Professional staff, just need a little smile for customers. Otherwise, perfect.

Nice place, nice staff, good (not excellent) food. Go there for the atmosphere, the history of the place, remember Picasso !

I've been so looking forward to visiting this place ever since planning my trip to Barcelona. It is a beautiful cafe inside and out and is steeped in history and culture. We popped in for a quick bite to eat but as soon as we stepped in the door the waiter brushed past us and was annoyed that we were... More

Dining here for lunch, or merely coffee or wines, is like going to Lipp or Deux Magot in Paris. This is where the artisans hung out drinking coffee and discussing their artistic passions. It is worth the effort assuming you can find a seat.

The history of Quatre Gats is fascinating...but we were there for food. Lunchtime tapas and cava very good. Next day dinner...look around at the architecture of the room. Black squid croquettes and suckling pig were very good as was the chocolate dessert. Service by one of the waiters was very friendly but some others a little on the non-smiling side.... More

Interesting place, lot's of history and a nice feel about it, staff were pleasant enough , food came quickly but barely warm, we had the lamb which is obviously one of their signature dishes, so must have them ready, nice enough but all in all an average experience, definitely a tick done that, probably wouldn't want to go back as...
