Neighbourhood: El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.

I LIKE IT!!!
I usually go to Al Maximo everytime I go to Barcelona. The first time I've been there it was so exciting seeing all photos about Mina and Raffaella on the wall! And I love the choise of color red of the walls. Drinks are good and cheap! GIN BONIQUE is the speciality! There are friendly lovely Italian guys and not only... company for all tastes :-)

Great little bar in El Born
Jul 2013 • Friends
I've been a couple of time to this gay bar in El Born and really enjoyed it. Try their mojitos or margaritas... they're reasonably priced, great tasting and fairly strong! Also, the decor is really cool and unusual, with tons of photos of singers Raffaella Carrà and Mina on the wall... yes it's ran by italians, and they're really fun and happy guys! Music-wise don't expect the latest of house, instead you'll get old classics like Queen, Madonna or old italian singers. Great place!

great neighbourhood bar in el borne district
Jun 2013 • Friends
if you're in the borne district of barcelona, don't miss out on al máximo, a cute little neighbourhood bar: great music, up-to-the-minute videos, very friendly service, tasty drink specials, free pica-pica on thursdays and lots of fun regulars (it helps if you're a raffaella carrà fan, but everyone's welcome!)

Great bar de copas in Barcelona
I was in Barcelona to meet some friends and celebrate my birthday. we were some friends and we heard about this pub, near jaume i. When we arrived, we found a very friendly and funny place, where Mina and Raffaella Carrà guest us as pictures on the wall. The two owners, very young guys who cares about you, who like to make you wonderful mojitos, are very nice and kind. I suggest to have a little break stop there.
