Great fun, and learnt how to make a delicious paella!

Carlos showed us how to prepare a four course meal, and we enjoyed taking part and learning a lot from him. The 4 hours of preparation went so quickly, and then the 13 students we... read more

Carlos showed us how to prepare a four course meal, and we enjoyed taking part and learning a lot from him. The 4 hours of preparation went so quickly, and then the 13 students we ate the soup, broscettas, paella a dn creme catalans that we had made. Impressive also were the quality of the ingredients, all freshly bought from... More

This was definitely a highlight of our trip to Barcelona. Our class was fun, engaging, informative, and delicious! We left full of wine and delicious food (including paella), as well as able to replicate our dishes at home. It was a great balance of working in the kitchen and socializing with other class participants. Asunta (spelling?) was an amazing teacher.... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my cooking class, which included the Market trip. Our instructor Rosa was fun, entertaining and a great cook. Her knowledge of the the local area and local foods was excellent. Everyone had hands on experience and of course, the level or participation was on par with the amount of wine consumed! I highly recommend this cooking school.

Carlos took us shopping at La Boqueria and we picked out fresh mollusks and seafood. Then walked through the streets to the little shop with a kitchen. There was a group of 14 of us and it was amazing fun! Each one of us took turns cooking, chopping, preparing the food and it was like a dance in the kitchen.... More

We received a whole family cooking class gift to the family, mostly for the teenagers to gain some appreciation for the kitchen. What we received was 4.5 hours of "Wow!". 14 students of all ages managed by only 1 person - Carlos, the chef/instructor. Under his instruction we created a wide range of dishes in a zero-stress, high-engagement, high-inspiration and... More

The class was very good I really enjoyed it. The market tour was a good overview of the types of products sold there. The instructor was very good and got everyone involved. The food was very tasty also I really enjoyed the class and would recommend it to anyone.

My husband and I were visiting from San Francisco over the Thanksgiving holiday and decided a cooking class would be the best way to spend the day! Our chef Ashunta (spelling?) was really wonderful company and a splendid teacher. The class is really hands-on and we left feeling confident that we can reproduce these restaurant-quality dishes at home (which we... More

I had a blast learning some traditional recipes and look forward to amazing my friends with perfect paella and cream Catalyuna when I get home. The group size was perfect, the chef was charming and the wine flowed. I will be back for more lessons next time!

What a fabulous experience my mother and I had at Cook&Taste during our recent mother-daughter trip to Barcelona! We opted for the half-day class with a tour of the local market, La Boqueria, in the morning. It was so enriching to tour through this amazing place and shop for fresh ingredients here before embarking on our culinary journey! Our chef... More

We had read great reviews of this program in the Chicago Tribune, so we signed up. Great customer service by Marta. Our program was expertly taught by Carlos, who was approachable and friendly to our enthusiastic class. The Boqueria tour was worth it if just to watch the fish monger wield her medieval cleaver to expertly clean cuttlefish. We learned... More

Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighbourhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
