Although it is the seat of the museum of Archeology, it is more worth because of the old monastery (Sant Pere de Galligans). The cloister is particularly beautiful and the tower is very nice. It is a compulsory visit if you are a bit fond...More

Archeological museum that was both great value and stunning location. We had the benefit of being the only ones there. This made it even more special. Addd bonus was that it gives other museums a 50pc discount. interesting perspective and beautiful environment on outskirts.

This museum occupies an amazing space in a former romanesque church and cloister: it is stunning architecture. The museum is moderately interesting but the space alone is well worth the small entrance fee. Just go.

Tried to see the chapel on our last visit four years ago but an exhibition seemed to be taking place so it wasn't possible. So glad I came back. Worth visiting for the chapel alone, very atmospheric 12th Century building and the Rose Window (no...More

Five floors of artefacts, pictures, statues, glass and religious items. Nice and airy. Rounds off the other two episcopal must sees.

Very well laid out museum and demonstrating a good use of computer graphics to illustrate the historic development of tools, etc.

I can't recommend this little museum enough. First, it is in a beautiful former monastary church, itself worth a look on it's own. But it also houses some truely ancient pieces from the dawn of human history in the area through to the Ancient Roman...More

I love these museums; they are never crowded, and they illustrate early human history using artifacts found in the neighborhood. The permanent displays upstairs in this place are really well-thought out and illustrative. The main area, however, is a mishmash of Roman tombstones, a rose...More

The museum takes the visitor on a journey through pre-history to the medieval using artifacts from many locations in Catalonia. There are welcome multilingual descriptions of the visits. The narrative is clear but one is not overwhelmed by the number of exhibits displayed. The building...More
