FuGir ticks all the boxes of a good escape room: interesting puzzles, a good difficultly level, helpful hints when we were stuck, time to speak with the staff after the game, a post-game photo, etc. But herein lies the problem: the game was too conventional. I have seen the same or similar puzzles or in previous escape rooms. I wish FuGir would invent some ideas of its own. Also, I think the gamesmaster was a little too trigger-happy with hints. We were stuck for only a couple of minutes before he started posting hints on the TV screen. It would have been better if he had given us more opportunity to solve the puzzles ourselves. Also, the gamesmaster committed an escape room faux pas by entering our room during the game. I wish gamesmasters wouldn’t do that, because it breaks my immersion in the game. He entered because he thought that a piece of paper that we found was the previous group's notes. Finally, the props seemed a little cheap. But overall, FuGir provides a good, solid escape game. I think it will impress beginners to escape rooms, but not so much escape room veterans.…
