Great place to visit if you are in A Coruna, not just for the lighthouse itself but also for the spectacular views of the city and coastline. There is a free car park and then it is a five minute walk to the base of...More

I had visited 40 years before; Now, the lower level interpretive center gives history, diagrams, etc., and provides much more context to explain what we are seeing inside the tower. Quite a feat of engineering in Roman times -- and the later remodeling done over...More

Beautiful lighthouse with gourgeous views over the city and the bay. You go up over 200 steps but it's all worth it!

The entrance cost is 3 euros. There are some romans ruins inside about the tower. The main attraction is the amazing view from the top of the tower, but it is a long way up, I think there should be a warning for elderly people...More

Beautiful and well presented with lots of historical info available. Steps are a challenge as there are no lifts. Steep in places and very claustrophobic enviroment not suitable for everyone. great views at the top but can be overwhelming for any scared of heights!

One of the must beautiful places I've ever visited. A great building over the ocean, so interesting, get a guide for it, it's a piece of history. I hope to return again.

That would be quite a hike. Don't know the exact distance but I would guess it would be about around two miles. Having said that, you would be walking along the coast which is quite stunning. Taxis are cheap, though
