What a great way to visit the top, almost a private ascent, its not that hard really if your fit, there is no water/stops at all so bear that on mind. Took us about 90 mins from the Jewish Gate to the top gun battery...More

an achievement for us as we are getting fit, med steps are good for the exercise and also a destresser do it quick or at your own pace and take in the scene, well worth the experience to share with nature, the walk back down...More

I counted 599 steps total, a dozen at the beginning were down, but the rest were all UP! No problem for an old 70-year old like myself. Take your time and bring your camera! I paid for a guided driving tour then left my wife...More

Yes, you can hike the Mediterranean Steps--the quintessential Gibraltar nature experience for the hale and hearty—even if you’re coming from a cruise ship. As long as you have 6-8 hours in port, don't get daunted by the fact the starting point is a hard-to-find outpost...More

High heeled shoes are no good for this walk so come prepared! The walk from Jews gate up to the top is hard but the views make it worthwhile. There is lots of history on the way up in terms of caves and building left...More

Parked in the cable car car park and walked up to Jews Gate. Steep road walk to warm the legs and then once you get to the barrier then the challenge really begins. Most of our group completed in 20-30 mins from this point, sweaty...More

Certainly one of the best ways to see the southern end of the rock. It took us under 3 hours from town to hike the trail, then back down Charles V wall. Not for the unfit though!

Yes you cam take dogs on the Med Steps but it's not recommended as you might bump into some macaques and the monkeys like to attack dogs. So better to go without a dog.
