The structure is beautiful though very hot inside of course so that will put some people off. The current exhibition consists of a few pieces of glass in loose tubular forms dotted about in a meaningless way. Great building so come for that.

Resembling a giant greenhouse, this metal-and-glass structure was actually built, in the late 19th century, with the purpose of housing an exhibition of tropical flowers from the Philippines. It is indeed a beautiful structure, worth a visit on its own but with several attractions deserving...More

Although it looks nice in the middle of the retiro park but I think it is overrated. The building is only a glass building and empty from the inside. If you are going to the park visit it but don’t go for it if you...More

I loved visiting the Palacio De Cristal- I really felt like I was in a fairytale. The gardens surrounding are all beautiful and you can take your time wander around - I recommend visiting!

We spotted this big and beautiful greenhouse across the lake. This huge, cross shape greenhouse is made almost entirely of glasses. The arch roofs are supported by only glasses and irons and the architecture of this building is elegant inside out. The Greek style columns...More

In Retiro Park, by a lake, this glass Palace is a delightful place to just stand and stare, collect your thoughts, enjoy the splendour and skill in building this lovely place.

The Crystal Palace sits in a fabulous location off a small pond with fountain in the heart of the Retiro. It is modelled on the building built in London in 1851 (though Madrid's is on a much smaller scale). You're able to wander around inside...More

We rode with our bikes through the beautiful park right to the Palacio De Cristal. From the outside as well as the inside does this place amaze you. It doesn't take long to explore it but it is well worth a quick stop. The entry...More

Nothing to get excited about. It looks good in the pictures but it is just a large greenhouse with pieces of art scattered about.Lucky it is free entry.

A great stop when wandering through Retiro park. There are modern art exhibits inside and a beautiful view out front on the pond. It was a nice place to sit and relax for a moment and take in the scenery.

Free to get in and during the summer the Reina Sofia museum typically does free temporary art exhibits inside. To find the bathroom, go inside the building, walk all the way to the back - there are two staircases to go down... More
