Beautiful park! Great place to take a walk or ride a bike or segway. The rose gardens are beautiful and the landscape is gorgeous.

......what a fantastic park. Seemed like the whole of Madrid was in the park over the weekend, and there was still plenty of room. Plenty of things to see and do, rowing cost 8€ for 45 minutes on the lake, lots of stalls and shows, exhibitions, sports and painting; just about everything catered for. About 4.5km to run around the... More

I specially went to this park to see and photograph the Crystal Palace. The park is beautiful. With a large pond where you can row boats. Glourious fountains. Long wide tree lined boulevards. Unfortunately the Palace was rented for a private event but it was still a wonderful building. In the pond outside the palace is saw my first black... More

What an amazing, picturesque park to visit. Completely makes you forget you are in the middle of the city.

Great to find such a calm and green space within the city. Great for an afternoon stroll with enough ponds, boating lake, rose garden type things within it to add interest. Take a picnic and chill for a few hours

The part is absolutely beautiful! I do recommend taking a small map of the park so you don't miss any of the attractions inside (the Crystal Palace and pond were a couple of our favorites). There are facilities inside the park for food / beverage and rest rooms. We walked thru the park on a Friday afternoon and while there... More

Definitely worth a visit to take the load off after sight seeing. I would recommend taking a picnic and watching the world go by. I you want a little bit of activity you have the option to take a boat out on the lake. Some really pretty fountains.

My husband and I went on a run here in the morning and it is like you went back in time. You could wander around and spend hours in this park.

We spent several hours exploring Retiro Park -- the Crystal Palace, the Fallen Angels, sangria beside the little lake (lots of rowboats).
