Bullfight

You can take the Metro to Las Ventas station or walk, especially if you feel like removing yourself from the crowed streets of Madrid. It takes about 40 minutes to walk. Although I visited the bullring on a public holiday, it was well worth it. Seeing the regality of the costumes, learning about the history of bull fighting and cultural... More

It was with trepidation that we went here being animal lovers but we felt that it was a must see attraction. The entrance fee is 10 euros. When you go in you get a phone with the numbers of the room that you are going in take a form of id with you because you need it. You have to... More

Handy to reach by Metro. Exit right in front to the Bullring. Buy your entry ticket, which includes the audio guide, at the window close to the Metro exit, then walk half way around the outside of the Bullring to the museum. Very interesting to see an actual bullring and walk into the centre, whether you agree with the spectacle... More

We took the metro from our hotel to the Plaza de Toros (Las Ventas) and stepped off the subway directly onto the site. Easy and inexpensive navigating. We enjoyed using the audio guide to tour the small museum and the large arena. The informative tour gave us greater insight into this national pastime.

Do not go if you aren't planning on seeing 6 Bulls getting.stabbed to death after a grueling 20 minutes. Maybe we're naive, but we did not know that bull fighting consists of torturing a bull for purely entertainment purposes. No wonder this "game" is outlawed everywhere in Spain except Madrid. Reminded me of gladiators in the Romans colluseum. However, instead... More

People of Spain were a little un-welcoming to tourists. The open and closing times are stated on the door for 7p.m, we got there at 6:30pm, and we were informed that they close at 6:30 and we can only go up to see the museum, what a waste for 2 euros, not worth the visit and the rude receptionist that... I went to Las Ventas to see a bullfight. I thought it would be an interesting thing to do to partake in the Spanish culture. I must say, way sadder and more difficult to get through than I could have imagined. This isn't for the weak of heart - especially for animals. The ceremony and crowd of it was interesting... More
