For someone like me with an interest in Francisco Franco this is a must-see. As is known Franco made El Pardo his home and headquarters and ruled Spain with an iron hand for 36 years (1939-75) mostly from this palace. If you do the tour...More

We were glad we visited this palace when we were in Madrid, but I guess we just expected more after reading about it in preparation for our trip. It could stand some work on it.

El Palacio Real de El Pardo is a must see during your visit to Spain. The works of art, paintings and silver are beautifully rendered and displayed. The palacio is beautifully maintained and worth a visit. Entrance fees apply.

Impressive building, well worth the tour from the sweeping grand staircase to the ornate 23 rooms on display. The Royal Armoury is fascinating and has a wonderful display of parade and tournament aRMOUR.

It's my own fault, I should have read the small print. You have to take the guided tour which may mean that you have to wait, in our case 30 minutes. However the tour is very good and takes about an hour. There is a...More

The Palacio Real is a beautiful piece of history. We chose to rent the guided tour speakers which was a good idea. It was quite crowded and using the guided tour allowed us to move around other groups. The whole visit was done in about...More
