A wonderful oasis in a noisy and crowded city. Beautiful roses, bonsai trees and may others. Entrance fee 4 euro per person. The ladies toilet could not be closed. At the bar/restaurant you have to go in to order, only then do they serve you.

This is an oasis of calm in the heart of Madrid, very close to Atocha station. Entry is €4, but only 50 cents for seniors. It's like a smaller version of Kew Gardens - it's not a park as such, but a research establishment that...More

We spent a very pleasant morning here. The garden is quite large and has an exhibition space (an interesting exhibition relating to tulips at the time or our visit) and very pleasant cafe. I can see where some of the botanical garden purists are coming...More

Great variety of flora, each with a short explanation of the origins and fun facts. It is quite relaxing if you want to take a moment away from the city chaos.

Depending on the time of year when you visit will determine whether this is a must see or just somewhere nice to chill after a busy morning in the Prado. We visited when the tulips were in full bloom (April) and they made a spectacular...More

I’ve visited several botanical gardens on my international travels and this is possibly the worst. OK, only 4€ entry fee, but not much to see. I appreciate that gardens will vary with the time of the year, but I would certainly expect better in early...More

The Madrid Botanic Gardens are tired. I love gardens. I love plants. And this experience was the most underwhelming botanical moment ever.

Muzuem Prado was totally crowded with visitors and so we went to this botanical garden. There were also customer queues for tickets. Generally, the garden seemed to me to be an unsettled impression. It was sad that the blooming tulips were still dry in the...More

Only a few steps from the Atocha train station, this quiet gardens offers a beautiful retreat. In mid-May the tulips are done but there are many more beauties to see. Allow at least an hour and half.

It’s hard to believe you are in the centre of Madrid, the further towards the back you stroll the less you can hear the traffic. Resplendent with easily navigable walkways and a multitude of flowers, trees, fruit trees and even vegetables this is worth a...More
