The area
Neighbourhood: Arguelles
Just south of the sprawling campus of the Complutense University of Madrid, Arguelles exudes a fast-paced, collegiate vibe. The main street, Calle Princesa, is filled with twenty-somethings rushing between classes and errands, meeting up with classmates, and grabbing cheap beers and cheap eats. This is a prime shopping spot where the major Spanish clothing and department store chains are less busy than their downtown counterparts, and there is an array of casual dining options to choose from. Check out nearby outdoor spaces such as the lushly planted Plaza de España to the south, which is often filled with craft stalls. To the west of Arguelles is the giant Parque Oueste, a calm and picturesque park with its own Egyptian temple.

Church from the 19th Century
Sep 2020 • Solo
This is a church built in the 19th century just at the beginning of the formation of the Chamberi neighborhood. The parish was burnt in 1936, at the beginning of the Civil War, and rebuilt after the war. The temple is beautiful with an altar dedicated to Our Lady of the Carmel.

Unusual church building
Oct 2018 • Couples
Parroquia de Santa Teresa y San Jose Madrid is an unusual but really beautiful building. You don't often see buildings of such beauty, yet here is one which is so pleasant to the eye. Lovely exterior, and an amazing dome! The interior of the church is also lovely.

Nice Church
Oct 2018 • Business
This church is pretty nice. It looked newer to me than a lot of the others that I saw. The dome is truly amazing. I liked the giant painting. It wasn't my favorite of the churches but it was nice.

Parroquia De Santa Teresa Y San Jose Madrid is a really amazing church in a city that has many great churches.
The church has an awesome looking appearance,it's eye catching and colourful domed roof is the aspect of the church that I remember ,it certainly sets it apart from other churches in this vibrant city.
We could view the church very easy from the magnificent Royal Palace Madrid ,it's size is seriously impressive.
Parroquia De Santa Teresa Y San Jose Madrid is easy to locate on Plaza De Espana which is one of Madrid's most popular plaza's.
Well worth a visit.

Modern church
Nov 2017 • Solo
Parroquia de Santa Teresa y San Jose Madrid is on the west side of Plaza de Espana away from the square si its not obvious. There's been a church here for centuries but the current is a recent construction. Good design in concrete with liitle decoration except the alter piece.

Amazing building near Plaza de España
May 2017 • Couples
What an amazing building but wasn't open to public when we were there. The building has two castle structures and looks like from medieval times mixed with a Moorish look.

Unusual exterior design
Nov 2016 • Couples
This is a funky building which houses a church and a convent. It had a mosaic dome that you can see from a long distance. The inside of the church looks like many others in Madrid, a bit less ornate.
