Very special combination: The name is of Arabic origin, even though it's a catholic church, right beside the Royal Palace. Make sure to go inside!

Free to visit, I really enjoyed viewing this lovely cathedral. Not as ornate as some we've visited, it is still beautiful in its own way. Quite interesting with it's more modern stained glass and decorations on the ceilings etc. There is the most amazing room...More

Nice and not too fussy inside, but quite small and feels a bit more like a standard church not an epic cathedral - I guess its intimate?

A large and impressive Cathedral. Free to enter. Atmospheric with alters and statues placed to benefit most from the light from the modern stained glass.

Stunning cathedral next to the Royal Palace. Beautiful exterior too and the Crypt just around the corner is a hidden gem which is just as beautiful if not more so than the cathedral.

The Cathedral is absolutely stunning. The ceiling is amazing and so vibrant. One of the nicest Cathedrals/Churches I've ever seen. You must visit when in Madrid.

Located just opposite the palace, it looks pretty contemporary. Inside, it looks quite different from the other cathedrals I've visited.

Lovely building outside, and down in the crypt. There are some modern stain glass windows and artwork. However the modern paintwork on the ceiling and above the altar is very colourful and pretty. Also the painted ceiling inside the dome of blue skies and stars...More
