One of the must-visit places in Madrid with graffities, concerts exhibitions and other activities, if you wanna meet with real people and you like this underground style with all of the pros and cons.

The exhibition space of La Tabacalera is amazing. This former tabacco factory has been converted into an exhibition space as well as workshop space for artists.

A friend introduced me to this place and I really liked it. If you like street art this is the perfect place to visit. There were no specific events going on but just walking through the building was already really nice.

This former tobacco processing plant houses temporary exhibitions - recently of photographers´work - in an industrial surrounding. In the same building is a cultural centre where a second hand market takes place once a month (Rave market). Worth checking out.

Walking into this neighbourhood is like entering a

one it is. One side of Calle Lavapiés is lined with
Indian restaurants, the other with kebab shops. Men in
traditional African clothing convene outside their
businesses for long chats, and people shout to each
other across plazas and streets. Interspersed among
