As far as city-beaches go, la Malvarrosa is great. It's huge, it's very close to the city, it offers the possibility for nice walks, and it was a pleasure to lay down there under the sun in October!

this area is packed with little restaurants that may be a bit over priced but you are sitting right next to the beach. lovely walk and views

Beautiful beach but we are here out of season, so we can enjoy the true beauty of this place - almost empty, soft sand, large and spacious

A beautiful and very clean beach, easily accessible by public transport, with plenty of places to eat and drink. Only minor negative was the beach/area is plagued with persistent individuals intent on selling their fake designer goods!

The beach is very broad - maybe 150 - 200 metres. Soft sand, 25 degrees C in October and several beach bars and restaurants. What's not to like..?

The beach is quite large, so there is plenty of room. The boulevard is also very nice to walk around.

We enjoyed a nice morning at the Malvarrosa beach and the area as a whole. The beach was clean and had plenty of space. Everyone seemed relaxed. Not one of the best beaches I have found, it was ok.

I completely endorse the other comments - it's a lovely beach and all that but not worth a day trip (even by AVE!). By all means set aside a day as part of a longer break in the city but it doesn't really justify a one-off... More
