We went there on a sunday in october and the door was open so we could walk right in. It was free. We were given a leaflet with the explanation in English.

A must visiting Valencia. From Christian time (1313 a.C) but constructed with arabic hands, wide hall and three rooms of a real "hammam" illuminated by several eight-pointed stars windows, some original pavement, and steaming cauldron Chamber. Six-minute educational video provided and access to the external ceiling. 1€, Only opening time in the morning, Sundays free

We came here during our recent stay in Valencia. They're tucked away on a small side street near the cathedral, but can be found quite easily with a map and looking out for the sign posts. There's a small entrance charge to get in. There's a complete of information leaflets in English, which are helpful in learning about the history... More

Tucked away in the narrow streets of the old city I discovered this spectacular place out of time: suddenly I found myself immersed in another time and in another place, thousands of miles away and hundreds of years

This was one place I had not been aware of before seeing it rated here on TA so I sought it out on a recent visit to Valencia with the aid of a map as it is tricky to find. Unfortunately, there is a note from the Ayuntamiento by the door stating that the baths are closed until further notice.... More

A short distance from the cathedral, wander down the narrow, windy roads away from the Plaza de la Reina. A brief film at the beginning, in addition to the guided tour, gives one a good idea of how the upper class used these baths dating back to the 14th century.

The visit is free but with a guide, it doesn't last very long (20 mn approx). The building was renovated but it dates back from the 14th century. Well worth a visit especially if you haven't seen any Arab bathing house before - or if you're a big fan of this kind of place like me ! You first see... More
