One of the most important Carthusian order monasteries in Europe, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site from the 14th Century! It has wonderful frescos and grand baroque style architecture with a grand marble spiral staircase. It was a Prisoner of War camp for both 1st and 2nd World Wars.
